   I have always had trouble getting earbuds to fit, let alone sound good. I must own at least a dozen different pairs and have never found any that I have been satisfied with. I have been using a pair of Sennheiser MX75 Sport for the past couple of years because they can be wedged into the ear canal and held relatively snugly in place – but the stiff non flexible cable is a major shortcoming. On a whim I decided to try again, this time buying a pair of Kicker EB101s.

   The first thing I noticed was the fit. These earbuds fit me perfectly. The length is such that I can wedge the earbud between my ear canal and the back of my ear and it will remain snugly in place, comfortable and not too tight with the added bonus of cutting out a lot of outside noise. There are many times when I am exercising and listening to music that I don’t even realize that I have these earbuds in place. The next thing that caught my eye was the cable. Unlike the Sennheiser cable which is like stiff coiled wire, the cable on the Kickers is limp like a shoe string – talk about one extreme to the other. Finally with regards to the sound, in my opinion the Kickers produce clean crisp sound and for such small speakers, very good bass. The only nit I have to pic (which is the only reason I didn’t give it a 5 star rating) is the jack. I would have preferred an “L” shape jack instead of a straight jack but if that’s the only issue, it’s minor.

   I have owned my set of Kickers for a couple of months now but did not want to comment on or review them until I gave them a fair audition and had some experience with them. In the meantime I have read the other reviews and some of them allege that a few of the reviews may be unfairly biased. I can assure you that I have no affiliation with Kicker or any other electronics outlet and my review is based solely on my experience. In fact, I am a 65 year old retiree that was looking for a pair of earbuds that fit, sounded good, and were reasonably priced. I find the Kicker EB101s fit those criteria perfectly and when I combine them with my Zune HD, I am more than satisfied. If you get a pair, I hope you will be as happy with them as I am.

   I just pulled them out of the washing machine. Still work. Probably 200 hours listening time so far. 1/4 of it running. Great price for the noise reduction level; the only headphones I can get a better seal with are $150 Shures. Sound is better than closely-priced Sony/Panasonic/Skullcandy.

   Well, since I needed a pair of isolation headphones, I decided to order this brand. Never heard of Kicker, so I was a bit skeptical at first. Got the package within three days, and popped them into my laptop and turned on some Tool.

   Dear lord. I nearly cried. The sound quality on these things is phenomenal. Mids are crunchy, highs are nice and crisp, however, the bass is a bit lacking, but thats nothing an EQ setting didn’t fix. For 30 dollars, these things are probably one of the best set of earbuds I’ve owned to date. The memory phone ear pieces as well are an excellent touch, I just go into my own little world, exactly what I needed them for.

   The actual design of them is great as well. Nothing is plastic. Nothing. Which is great, because they feel like they can take a solid beating and still sound great. The braided rope wire is also a nice touch, making them feel tough, and easy to find.

   I love them, I’m so glad to have ordered these great ear-buds. Such a nice find for an amazing price!

   I bought this because of the reviews, so here is my review.

   Good:
   
   The sound quality is as good as I thought. The bass has a nice feel and you can still hear the mid and highs.
   
   Earbuds fit comfortable. I have had some where after 20 min they start bothering. I use this at the gym for several hours at a time and my ears never get bothered.
   
   The chord is long. While lifting I have to put the mp3 player at a certain spot so I need it to be long so I don’t have to change if the chord is in frot or behind.

   Bad:
   
   The highs could be a little more crisp.

   I love these earbuds because they have great bass and they stay in your ears when you are jogging without falling out all the time. Sound is really good.
