    In terms of sound quality, these headphones are good. This particular product is provided in bulk packaging. There doesn’t seem to be a downside to going this route as opposed to paying the full price for the commercially packaged versions which sell for 2-3x as much on Amazon. Not shown in the picture, they also come with a nifty little felt carrying bag, which is useful.

    I purchased these particular headphones after my Shures started fraying at the point where the headphone meets the wire. I was not interested in dropping another couple hundred dollars on headphones, so I was looking for the best mix of cheap and quality sound reproduction I could find. I was keyed in to this particular set based on evaluations performed by Sigfried Linkwitz on his site, Linkwitz Labs. For anyone in the audio world, Mr. Linkwitz is a highly respected designer of crossovers (linkwitz-reily) and speakers. These headphones measured extremely flat in frequency response in his tests. Given this fact, combined with the price, these suit my needs perfectly.

    The only caveat to this mostly positive review is the connection wire. I’m not quite sure what they were thinking, to be honest. The wire that the headphones are attached to, with the mini plug on the end is about a foot long. Apparently they expect you to plug this into the extension they provide (which for some reason also has a microphone on it)…except that the plug at the end of that wire is a smaller (<3.5mm) jack for phones. So then to get this thing back into your media player or computer jack's standard 3.5 mm, you have to plug in ANOTHER adapter. It's just completely insane. Best bet is to just buy a cheap extender wire with a female 3.5mm on one end and the male on the other and just bypass the insanity.

    They stay in my ears well, even when running, the sound quality is great and they’re reasonably priced.

    Love Sony Earbuds, but Chord is way too short you have to hold it 6 inches from your face. No wonder it is so cheap, must be some kind of factory error!

    My original headset for iPod touch 3rd Gen has broken, and I was seeking for a substitution. My thought was to buy an ordinary headset as well as an adapter for remote control and mic.

    Surprisingly, when I received this earphone, I found that there is an adapter which includes a control button and mic! And it works perfectly with iPod touch 3rd Gen!

    Pros:

    * With remote control (but no vol+/-) and mic working with iPod and iPhone

    * Fits both 2.5mm and 3.5mm devices

    * Includes carry case and 2 extra pair of earbuds

    * Pretty good sound quality for the price, at least better than iPod original ones

    Cons:

    * 3 sections of lines, which makes it too long

    * The earbud section is with 3.5mm male, but it’s too short for individually use

    One must use a short adapter with these. I assumed it was an original iPhone miniplug adapter in the picture, but it turns out that the plug on the end of the headset cord is smaller than a miniplug.
